In connection with the review of the Sustainable Consumption and Production/Sustainable Industrial Policy (SCP/SIP) Action Plan, the Commission sought the views and additional information on a wide set of possible actions and policy measures to improve the level of ambition of its SCP and SIP policies as suggested by the mid-term evaluation of the SCP/SIP Action Plan completed in 20111.

A public consultation on ‘Delivering more Sustainable Consumption and Production’ was launched on 9 January 2012, running until 4 April 2012. By means of an on-line questionnaire, the consultation offered an opportunity to all interested parties to express their views and give their opinion on the proposed policy options. The questionnaire was structured in four sections:

  •   Sustainable consumption and production (SCP).
  •   Green public procurement (GPP).
  •   Product environmental footprint (PEF).
  •   Organisation environmental footprint (OEF).
